G7th Newport Capo
My playing puts a particularly high stress on a capo. Often I'm only using the capo across 5 strings, rather than all six, which means it's not positioned properly and can't grip strongly. But then I often like to bend the strings really close to the capo, or even retune a string mid-song. With 99% of capos, the string will slip under the capo and not return to its normal position = A stuck, wonky, out-of-tune string for the rest of the song.

The G7th Capo Company revolutionised capo design with an adjustable-grip capo. The tighter you squeeze, the more it grips. But even better, they've added a newer model called the Newport, which uses similar tech but adds a tension screw, so you can get it even tighter if you want.
It's extremely quick to put on and take off, stable, reliable and doesn't get in the way of my hand when I'm playing. It's perfect, and I couldn't rely on anything else. It can even handle it when I rip the capo off mid song to play a chord…
G7th are an ethical company, supporting Hope For Justice, a charity which fights exploitation and modern slavery. Just awesome.
