Introducing the Ibanez JGM5

Please ask me anything you want to know about it, but here's the basics on the Ibanez JGM5: About half the price of the JGM10 but with all the playability and key features - including the unique triple-pickup system with its flexible simple mono, split stereo or full triple outputs. This was the dream: An accessible, affordable guitar tailored for percussive fingerstyle. You get 20 years of my research and testing, straight out of the case. I did my best.

I also wrote a full expo on the JGM10, which you can read here: https://jongomm.com/guitar  The main differences with the JGM5, are that it has laminated Pau Ferro back and sides, and the finish is different (don't ask me how, but it feels a little different). The scale length and all other dimensions (body, neck, bridge, etc) and the pickup system are the same. So it's just as easy to play, and the amplified sound is very (very!) similar.

I hope you get to try one of these guitars in a store near you some time. Let me know what you think! I love it, obviously.
